Ans: Cyberbullying is basically an act that is done by a person against another person by means of electronic media just to harass.

(b) Mention a few examples of cyberbullying.

Ans: Cyberbullying may be of various forms. A few of them are- doing harm to someone by posting unwanted or private information, threatening someone by sending mean messages by any means, spreading rumours via emails or social networking sites, sharing private/ embarrassing or unapproved pictures or videos creating fake profiles etc.

(c) Discuss the necessity of ICT Act 2006 in Bangladesh perspective.

Ans: People have access to information in this era of digital Bangladesh. Some vested quarters grabbing the opportunities tarnish the image of this country. Some yellow journalists publish fake news through electronic media. Some using religious sentiment cause disturbance in society. To stop these offensive activities, ICT Act 2006 has been passed in the parliament.

Ans:  Cyber victims are suggested to register a complaint to the regulatory body by phone or by email. It is hoped that necessary action will be taken within 24 hours and perpetrators will be brought to book. Justice is supposed to be ensured within three days after the complaint is lodged. As deliberate publishing of fake and obscene material brings manifold humiliating situation, the person publishing such material will be the guilty of an offence under ACT 2006. And the punishment of such offence, according to the existing penal code, is imprisonment and / or fine.
